Security Guard Killed in Traffic Accident in Chom Thong, Bangkok
A 28-year-old security guard died after falling from his motorcycle and being struck by a public bus in Bangkok on August 13, 2026.
On the morning of August 13, 2026, a fatal traffic accident occurred at the entrance of Soi Suksawat 4 in the Chom Thong district of Bangkok. According to reports from Khaosod Online, a 28-year-old security guard, identified as Mr. Prathumphon, lost control of his Yamaha Aerox motorcycle while commuting to work.
Following the fall, a public bus operating on route 105 was unable to brake in time, resulting in a collision that proved fatal for the motorcyclist. Police Lieutenant Sittisak Chunhamethathip of the Bang Kho Laem Police Station, along with medical personnel from Siriraj Hospital and Ruamkatanyu Foundation volunteers, arrived at the scene to find the victim with severe head and neck injuries. A damaged helmet was recovered near the site, and the motorcycle was found approximately 20 meters away.
