On August 13, 2026, the abbot of Wat Pa Adulyaram in Khon Kaen, Phra Khru Adulsarnnithet, addressed the ongoing land dispute between the temple and the heirs of the original land owner. The abbot, who has served at the temple for 36 years, admitted to feeling some fatigue due to his advancing age and the stress of the legal proceedings, though he emphasized that the temple continues its daily religious activities as usual.
According to Khaosod Online, the abbot stated that he prefers to leave the legal matters to the judicial process rather than personally engaging in litigation against laypeople. He expressed gratitude for the support of the local community and urged followers not to worry, noting that previous court rulings have favored the temple's claim to the land. Meanwhile, Khon Kaen Governor Khajornkiet Rakpanitmanee has acknowledged the situation and indicated that the provincial administration is prepared to act as a mediator to help reach a resolution.
