NBTC Commissioner Calls for Board Meetings Without Chairman

According to a report by Prachachat Business on August 13, 2026, NBTC Commissioner Pirongrong Ramasoota has submitted a formal memorandum to the Secretary-General of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). The document expresses her inability to participate in meetings alongside the current Chairman, Dr. Sarana Boonbaichaiyapruck.

Commissioner Pirongrong is urging the NBTC office to facilitate board meetings with the remaining six commissioners instead. This request follows a series of five consecutive failed attempts to hold a board meeting over the past month, which have stalled the commission's decision-making processes.
