A 53-year-old Australian man was taken to Pattaya police station after allegedly failing to pay a 32,000 baht bill at a beer bar in Soi Buakhao.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, a 53-year-old Australian national identified as Glen was brought to the Pattaya City Police Station on the night of August 12, 2026. The incident occurred at a beer bar located in Soi Buakhao 15, Nong Prue, Bang Lamung, Chonburi.
Staff reported that the tourist arrived at the establishment around 8:00 AM, requesting that the bar open early specifically for him. Due to his history of being a reliable customer at other local venues, the owner agreed to open the premises. Throughout the day, the individual reportedly ordered numerous drinks for himself and staff members, frequently ringing the bar bell to signal rounds for employees. The situation escalated when the customer allegedly refused to settle his final bill, which totaled 32,000 baht, following a disagreement after a staff member declined his invitation to go out after closing time.
