Investigation Launched into Alleged Irregularities in Local Government Recruitment
Thai authorities are investigating claims of widespread corruption in local administrative organization recruitment processes.
According to a report by Matichon Online on August 12, 2026, Pakorn has formally requested that the Prime Minister take decisive action regarding alleged corruption within the recruitment examinations for Local Administrative Organizations (LAOs). The investigation reportedly uncovered procedural irregularities at every stage of the testing process.
In response to these allegations, the Ministry of Interior has stated that it is not delaying the transfer of relevant information to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC). The ministry maintains that it is cooperating fully to ensure transparency in the probe.
