Police Apprehend Fugitive Listed on Thailand’s Most Wanted Calendar
Authorities have arrested a 27-year-old man wanted for a 2024 murder, ending a search for a suspect featured on the national police's most-wanted list.
On August 12, 2026, officers from the Special Service Division (BOPP) arrested a 27-year-old man, identified as Mongkol, in the Phrai Phatthana sub-district of Si Sa Ket province. According to Khaosod Online, the suspect was listed as number 74 on the Royal Thai Police’s official most-wanted calendar.
The arrest follows a warrant issued by the Si Sa Ket Provincial Court on October 19, 2024, related to a fatal shooting incident that occurred on October 18, 2024. Mongkol faces charges of joint murder, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, and the unauthorized carrying of firearms in public. Police tracked the suspect to his hometown, where he had been hiding since the incident.
