Luxury Villa Fire Reported in Kamala, Phuket
A fire broke out at a luxury villa in Kamala, Phuket, on August 12, 2026. No injuries were reported as the property was unoccupied at the time.
On the afternoon of August 12, 2026, emergency services in Phuket responded to a fire at a luxury villa located in Moo 6, Kamala, Kathu District. According to reports from Khaosod Online Thailand, local police were notified of the incident at approximately 5:10 PM after an acquaintance of the villa's caretaker spotted smoke and flames emanating from the upper level of the residence.
Firefighting units from the Kamala Subdistrict Administrative Organization were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, responders observed flames concentrated on the third floor of the structure. Firefighters successfully brought the blaze under control, preventing further spread. Initial inspections confirmed that the third floor sustained damage; however, authorities reported that no individuals were inside the villa when the fire occurred. Consequently, there were no injuries or fatalities resulting from the incident.
Police investigators from the Kamala Police Station have conducted an initial assessment of the site. As of now, the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
