According to a report by Prachachat Business, Synology has identified Thai educational institutions as being among the top 10 global targets for cyberattacks. The data indicates that these institutions have suffered damages totaling approximately 130 million baht due to ransomware incidents. Synology highlights that the average cost associated with a data breach in this sector has surged to 3.86 million dollars per incident.

The report suggests that the primary defense against such threats involves prioritizing Data Governance and Cyber Resilience at the executive level.
