Authorities Arrest 24 Illegal Workers at Rayong Construction Site
Thai labor officials raided a construction site in Ban Chang, Rayong, detaining 24 foreign nationals for working without permits and charging three employers.
On August 11, 2026, officials from the Rayong Provincial Employment Office, supported by local police and immigration authorities, conducted an inspection at a construction site in the Ban Chang district of Rayong province. During the inspection of 198 workers present at the site, authorities identified 24 individuals—nationals of China and Myanmar—who were working without the required work permits. Consequently, three employers associated with the site have been formally charged for hiring foreign workers without authorization.
