Three park rangers who lost contact during a patrol in Kanchanaburi province have been located and confirmed safe.
According to a report by Thai Post on August 12, 2026, three officials from Thong Pha Phum National Park in Kanchanaburi province were successfully located after a period of lost contact. The rangers had gone missing while conducting a routine patrol mission focused on forest protection and anti-poaching efforts in the Pilok Khi forest area.
Upon receiving news of the lost contact, Suchart Chomklin, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, closely monitored the situation and ordered an immediate, full-scale search operation to locate the missing personnel. The search concluded with the confirmation that all three rangers were safe.
