Chememan Reports Profit Growth Amidst Global Economic Challenges
Thai lime and chemical producer Chememan (CMAN) announced a 7.6% increase in net profit for the first half of 2026, despite a slight decline in total revenue.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, Chememan Public Company Limited (CMAN) has released its financial results for the first six months of 2026. The company, a global producer of lime and chemical products, reported a net profit of 256 million baht, marking a 7.6% growth compared to the same period in 2025. This performance was achieved despite a 4.6% decrease in total revenue from sales and services, which amounted to 1,888 million baht.
Company Chairman M.L. Chandchutha Chandratat attributed the profit growth to effective cost management and an improved gross profit margin, which rose to 40.1% from 36.6% in the previous year. For the second quarter of 2026 specifically, the company recorded 907 million baht in revenue and a net profit of 84 million baht, representing a 4.5% decline for that quarter.
For residents and those monitoring Thailand’s industrial sector, these figures highlight the company's resilience in a volatile global economy. Chememan is currently focusing on digital technology investments and expanding its market presence into the Indo-Pacific region. While the company remains optimistic about its operational efficiency, it remains to be seen how future global economic fluctuations will impact its long-term expansion goals and whether the current profit growth trend can be sustained throughout the remainder of the year.
