Anti-Tank Explosive Discovered in Buriram’s Dong Yai Wildlife Sanctuary
Authorities have cleared an anti-tank explosive round found embedded in a tree within a Buriram forest after local reports.
On August 10, 2026, residents in Ban Lam Nang Rong, located in the Non Din Daeng district of Buriram province, discovered a suspicious object lodged in a tree within the Dong Yai Wildlife Sanctuary. Following reports from the community, authorities arrived to inspect the site. According to Khaosod English, the object was identified as an anti-tank explosive round.
In response to the discovery, the Second Army Region deployed an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team to secure the area and neutralize the threat. The site has since been cleared by officials.
