NBTC Commissioner Soran Boonbairoj Removed from Office

According to a report by Matichon Online, the Thai government has initiated the formal process to remove Soran Boonbairoj from his position as a commissioner of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul confirmed that the administration is following established legal procedures regarding this removal.

This development coincides with ongoing instability within the commission, as the NBTC board has failed to reach a quorum for the fourth consecutive time. Amidst the turmoil, Commissioner Soran has reportedly filed an appeal with the court to challenge the proceedings. Meanwhile, fellow commissioner Pakorn has publicly stated that the current situation and the removal process are not expected to invalidate previous resolutions passed by the board.
