Drug Crackdown in Sisaket Leads to Arrest of Monks

During the inspection at the first temple, officials tested four monks for narcotics. One monk, a 58-year-old identified as 'Phra Kor,' tested positive for drugs, and authorities reportedly discovered two methamphetamine pills hidden within his living quarters. In a separate incident mentioned in the report, officials encountered three individuals wearing monk robes who had previously been defrocked for similar offenses. These individuals claimed they had not been re-ordained by an abbot but had instead performed a ritual at a spirit house to resume their status.
