Elderly Woman Found Deceased in Samut Songkhram Home

On August 11, 2026, police from the Amphawa Station in Samut Songkhram province responded to a welfare check at a residence in Suan Luang sub-district. According to Khaosod Online, neighbors became concerned when food left for the resident, identified as Ms. Phayao, remained untouched throughout the day.

Upon entering the locked home through a window, officers discovered the woman deceased in the bathroom. Authorities estimate she had been dead for at least eight hours. Inside the home, officials found two pet chickens, a male and a female, remaining near the scene. The female was observed sitting on eggs, while the male stayed close to the bathroom area.

Evidence found at the scene, including asthma medication from Somdej Phra Phutthaloetla Hospital, led investigators to preliminarily suspect that the woman suffered a fatal asthma attack.

While the cause of death is suspected to be a medical emergency, official confirmation from a post-mortem examination is still pending.
