Thai athlete Wichaya Prathumta achieved a stellar performance at the Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, bringing home two gold medals and one bronze.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, Thai weightlifter Wichaya Prathumta delivered an impressive performance at the Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Competing in the men’s 70-kilogram youth category, Prathumta successfully completed all six of his lifts, demonstrating exceptional consistency and strength.
In the snatch event, Prathumta successfully lifted 109, 115, and 119 kilograms, securing a bronze medal with his final lift of 119 kilograms. He followed this with a dominant performance in the clean and jerk, where he successfully cleared 147, 151, and 154 kilograms. These results earned him two gold medals and one bronze medal overall. This achievement adds to the Thai team's growing success at the tournament, which had previously secured six gold, two silver, and one bronze medal.
