According to a report by Thai Post, a group of elderly residents from several districts in Buriram province recently visited the Damrongtham Center to file a formal complaint regarding an alleged scam. The victims claim they were deceived by individuals posing as members of the nobility who established an organization for farmers.
These individuals reportedly enticed residents to pay membership fees and participate in a savings scheme, promising that the organization would provide foreign funding and low-interest loans. The victims allege that after making these payments, they lost hundreds of thousands of baht each and have seen no progress in their cases.
