According to a report by Khaosod Online citing the BBC, a Porter Airlines flight scheduled to depart from Victoria, Canada, to Toronto on August 6 was cancelled due to a safety issue involving a young passenger. The flight could not take off because a child refused to wear a seatbelt, standing on the seat and resisting attempts by both parents and crew to secure them.

While the crew eventually returned the aircraft to the terminal and removed the child and their parents, the resulting delay caused the flight to miss its departure window before the airport’s midnight runway curfew.
