Tragic Drowning of Young Musician in Chonburi

On August 11, 2026, local authorities in Phanat Nikhom, Chonburi, responded to a fatal drowning incident involving a 22-year-old musician. According to Khaosod Online Thailand, the victim, identified as Mr. Itthikorn, was a guitarist and singer known in the local folk music scene.

Reports indicate that the victim had visited a large pond in Moo 3, Mon Nang sub-district, with a 23-year-old acquaintance he had met only a day prior. The two men decided to swim across the pond. The acquaintance stated that he turned back toward the shore after realizing the distance was too great, but upon looking back, he could no longer see the victim.
