Thailand’s Home Construction Market Shows Growth in First Half of 2026

The Home Builder Association (HBA) reports a 12% increase in sales for the first half of 2026, with a total market value projected to reach 100 billion baht by year-end.

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, the Home Builder Association (HBA) has announced that the Thai home construction market remains resilient despite economic pressures. In the first half of 2026, HBA members recorded 4.8 billion baht in sales, representing a 12% growth compared to the previous period. The association estimates the total value of the home construction market across Thailand will reach 100 billion baht this year, a 4-5% increase from 2025.

Anantakorn Amorntavee, President of the HBA, noted that construction costs have stabilized, allowing member companies to maintain price levels since the second quarter to support consumers. Demand remains strong among those building homes for personal residence, a segment currently favored by financial institutions over speculative property purchases. Notably, luxury homes priced at 20 million baht and above accounted for the largest share of signed contracts at 26%.

For residents and potential investors, this trend suggests a stable environment for custom home building. The HBA is also introducing a consumer protection fund offering up to 1 million baht in compensation to further secure the market. While these figures indicate a positive outlook for the construction sector, the long-term impact of broader economic conditions on the second half of the year remains to be confirmed.
