Man Arrested for Deleting High-Value Items in DDTank Game
A 24-year-old man has been arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau for allegedly destroying digital assets worth 1.1 million baht in the game DDTank Origin 2.
On August 11, 2026, the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Thailand announced the arrest of a 24-year-old man, identified as Naporuj, in the Chatuchak district of Bangkok. The arrest follows an arrest warrant issued by the Criminal Court on July 31, 2026, regarding charges of unauthorized modification and destruction of computer data belonging to another person, which resulted in property damage.
According to reports from Khaosod Online, the incident originated from a dispute between the suspect and a victim who is a prominent player of the online game 'DDTank Origin 2' and a former Thai representative in global competitions. The suspect had reportedly borrowed the victim's game accounts to play. When the victim reclaimed the accounts after discovering the suspect was attempting to sell them, the suspect allegedly retaliated by accessing the accounts and deleting in-game items valued at approximately 1.1 million baht in real-world currency.
