Police Rescue Woman from Bridge in Khon Kaen

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, three police officers from the Nam Phong Police Station in Khon Kaen province successfully rescued a woman who was attempting to jump from a bridge crossing the Nam Phong River near the Nong Wai weir in Muang Wan sub-district. The incident occurred on the afternoon of August 10, 2026.

Police Captain Boworn Saensri, Deputy Inspector of Traffic, stated that he and his colleagues, Police Captain Kritsanapol Bokaew and Police Sub-Lieutenant Wimon Datumma, were patrolling near the Mittraphap Road checkpoint when they received a report of a person threatening to jump. Upon arrival, they found a woman sitting on the bridge railing in a dazed state. A bystander was already attempting to talk to her, but officers instructed the individual to step back to allow them to manage the situation. The officers engaged the woman in conversation to distract her, which allowed Police Captain Kritsanapol Bokaew to safely grab and pull her down from the railing.
