On August 10-11, 2026, the Botanical Garden Organization (BGO) hosted the 'BGO Open House 2026' at the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden in Mae Rim, Chiang Mai. According to Khaosod Online Thailand, the event served as a platform to demonstrate the organization's capabilities in plant research, botanical science, and bio-innovation.
The initiative brought together representatives from the public and private sectors, including tourism operators, hotel managers, and spa owners. Monchai Sricharoensak, Director of the Business Development Bureau at BGO, stated that the event aimed to foster collaboration between the organization and its partners. The goal is to translate botanical knowledge into sustainable economic value, specifically by developing new products and services for the wellness tourism industry.
Attendees were given access to botanical and entomological laboratories and participated in knowledge-sharing sessions led by BGO researchers.
