Autopsy Results Released for Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization President
Forensic experts have confirmed the cause of death for Pol. Col. Thongchai Yenprasert following a fatal shooting incident.
On August 11, 2026, the Police General Hospital’s Institute of Forensic Medicine released preliminary autopsy findings regarding the death of Pol. Col. Thongchai Yenprasert, the President of the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO). Pol. Col. Thongchai died following a shooting incident involving Mr. Chalong Riao-rang in front of the Nonthaburi PAO office.
According to Pol. Maj. Gen. Wirun Suphasingsiripreecha, Commander of the Institute of Forensic Medicine, the cause of death was a gunshot wound that severed a major artery in the neck, leading to rapid and significant blood loss. The examination identified both penetrating and through-and-through gunshot wounds. While the Commander declined to specify the exact number of wounds to protect the integrity of the ongoing police investigation, he noted that the severity of the arterial injury aligns with reports that Phra Nangklao Hospital had requested 30 units of blood during emergency efforts to save the victim's life.
