On August 11, 2026, Khaosod Online reported that the Children and Women Protection Sub-Division (DSD) of the Metropolitan Police Bureau arrested a 20-year-old man, identified as Thanaphat, in the Phra Pradaeng district of Samut Prakan. The arrest follows a complaint filed on August 8 by the mother of a 15-year-old girl who alleged that the suspect, working as a delivery rider, abducted her daughter.
Authorities have charged the suspect with the abduction of a minor aged between 15 and 18 for indecent purposes and rape using force. According to police reports, the suspect allegedly targeted female students specifically, taking them to his residence to commit assault.
