Cyber Police Launch Educational Initiative for Students in Chiang Mai
Thai Cyber Police have conducted a workshop at Regina Coeli College to educate over 1,100 students on identifying and avoiding online scams.
On August 10, 2026, the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB) Division 4, led by Police Major General Krittach Bumrungratanayos, visited Regina Coeli College in Chiang Mai to implement the 'Cyber C.A.T.' (Children Assistant Team) project. According to Khaosod Online Thailand, the initiative aims to build digital resilience among youth by teaching them how to recognize and protect themselves against prevalent online fraudulent schemes.
The event involved over 1,100 students ranging from primary grade 4 to secondary grade 5. The curriculum focused on identifying common digital threats currently circulating in Thailand. This proactive measure, directed by CCIB leadership, seeks to equip younger generations with the necessary skills to navigate the internet safely.
