Thailand's EV Transition Funding Awaits Committee Review
The Ministry of Finance has confirmed that proposals for the electric vehicle (EV) transition project have not yet reached the screening committee, with submission expected by September.
According to a report by Prachachat Business, Lavaron Sangsnit, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, stated that the committee responsible for screening expenditures from the emergency loan decree for energy transition has not yet received formal project proposals.
While there is significant public and industry interest in Thailand’s shift toward electric mobility, the Permanent Secretary noted that all relevant parties are currently finalizing the necessary documentation and preparations. The Ministry anticipates that these proposals will be submitted for review within September 2026.
