Local Government Officials Linked to Exam Fraud Continue Working in Nakhon Ratchasima

According to a report by Khaosod Online on August 10, 2026, concerns have emerged regarding the integrity of local government recruitment in Nakhon Ratchasima province. Investigations identified 152 individuals suspected of involvement in exam fraud during the local civil service selection process. Despite these allegations, some of the implicated officials have been observed continuing their daily duties at the Dan Khun Thot Subdistrict Municipality.
Local municipal leadership stated that they are currently unable to take disciplinary action because they have not yet received official notification or formal orders from the central government. The municipality clarified that they function as a receiving agency for personnel and were not involved in the initial recruitment or verification process. Consequently, they lack the authority to suspend these individuals until official confirmation of the fraud is provided by central authorities.
