Police in Kanchanaburi have filed five charges against two men after their vehicle crashed into a preschool, injuring 19 children.
According to Khaosod Online, police in Mueang Kanchanaburi have initiated legal proceedings against two men, aged 54 and his nephew, following a vehicle collision at the Ban Nong Song Ton Child Development Center in Kaeng Sian sub-district. The incident occurred on August 7, 2026, when the vehicle struck the building while children aged 2 to 4 were napping, resulting in 19 injuries.
Authorities reported that both suspects tested positive for narcotics, leading to the filing of five criminal charges. As of August 10, 2026, police have submitted a request to the court to detain the suspects and have formally opposed their release on bail.
