King Power Completes 100-Pitch Football Initiative for Thai Youth

According to a report by Khaosod Online, the '100 Football Pitches, Creating Thai Youth Power' project, spearheaded by King Power Thai Power, has officially reached its decade-long milestone. The initiative has successfully constructed 100 international-standard, seven-a-side artificial turf football pitches across all regions of Thailand.

The project aimed to provide sports infrastructure to underserved areas, including remote islands, mountainous regions, and border communities. The distribution of these facilities includes 13 pitches in the North, 29 in the Northeast, 24 in the Central region, and others across the East. Beyond serving as athletic venues, these sites are intended to function as community hubs for creative activities and youth development.

For residents and travelers, these pitches represent a significant expansion of accessible public sports facilities in rural and remote parts of the country. While the primary goal of completing the 100-pitch target has been met, it remains to be seen how local community organizations will manage the long-term maintenance of these facilities to ensure they remain viable for future generations. The project highlights a continued private-sector effort to bridge the infrastructure gap in Thailand’s regional sports development.
