Minister Suksomruay Denies Allegations Regarding Senate Election Funding
Minister Suksomruay Wanthaniyakul has filed a police complaint following accusations by MP Parit Wacharasindhu regarding alleged financial irregularities during the 2024 Senate elections.
On August 10, 2026, Suksomruay Wanthaniyakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office and Bhumjaithai Party MP for Amnat Charoen, publicly addressed allegations made by Parit Wacharasindhu of the People's Party. Parit had claimed that an associate of the Minister transferred nearly 900,000 baht to an investigator at the Amnat Charoen Election Commission (EC) during the 2024 Senate selection process.
According to Khaosod Online, Minister Suksomruay categorically denied these claims, stating she has not been summoned by the EC or the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) regarding any financial trails over the past two years. She criticized the accusations as speculative and urged the opposition to verify their sources. The Minister confirmed that she has already filed a formal police complaint in Amnat Charoen province to address the matter.
