SAT Enhances Thai Athletes' Preparation for 20th Asian Games

The Sports Authority of Thailand is utilizing sports science and personalized nutrition to boost athlete performance ahead of the upcoming Asian Games in Japan.

According to a report by Khaosod Online, the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) is intensifying its preparations for the 20th Asian Games, scheduled to take place in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, from September 19 to October 4, 2026.

SAT Governor Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee stated that with one month remaining before the competition, the physical fitness of the Thai national team has significantly improved. Following three rounds of performance testing conducted by the Sports Science Center, the majority of athletes have progressed from moderate fitness levels to 'good' or 'very good' status, aligning with the organization's strategic goals.

To ensure peak performance, the SAT has partnered with Ajinomoto to provide specialized nutritional support. This initiative includes assigning staff to oversee personalized meal plans tailored to the specific training requirements of each athlete.

For residents and travelers in Thailand, this focus on high-level sports preparation highlights the country's commitment to international sporting excellence. While the current fitness data indicates positive progress, the final results of these preparations will only be confirmed once the athletes compete in Japan. The SAT continues to monitor the team's health and readiness as the opening ceremony approaches.
