Teenagers Arrested Following Shooting Incident in Udon Thani
Ten youths aged 13–15 were apprehended after a stray bullet injured a 63-year-old man during a confrontation in Nong Wua So district.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, a violent confrontation involving a group of teenagers occurred on August 9, 2026, in the village of Ban Nong Wua So, Udon Thani province. Around 4:00 PM, approximately ten youths, aged between 13 and 15, engaged in a shooting incident while pursuing rivals from a different village.
During the altercation, a 63-year-old local resident named Mr. Thongda, who was sitting in front of his home, was struck by a stray bullet that grazed his neck. He was promptly transported to Nong Wua So Hospital for treatment and has since returned home to recover. Following the incident, local authorities, led by Nong Wua So District Chief Itthipol Suyala and the local police, launched an investigation and successfully apprehended all ten individuals involved. The suspects reportedly confessed that the conflict stemmed from a dispute over a girl.
