Four Police Officers Transferred Following Raid on Illegal Chachoengsao Venue
Chachoengsao provincial police have reassigned four senior officers after a raid uncovered an unlicensed pub operating with underage patrons and illicit drugs.
On August 9, 2026, Khaosod Online reported that the Chachoengsao Provincial Police commander, Police Major General Kriangkrai Boonson, issued an order transferring four senior officers from the Mueang Chachoengsao Police Station to inactive posts. This administrative action follows a joint operation conducted by the Department of Provincial Administration’s special task force (DOPA S.W.A.T.) on August 8, 2026, at approximately 1:39 AM.
During the inspection of a venue located at the Songchai Charoensap Market (Boxing Stadium Market) in Na Mueang sub-district, authorities discovered that the establishment was operating without a proper license. Furthermore, the venue was found to be selling alcohol beyond legally permitted hours, admitting individuals under the age of 20, and facilitating the presence of illicit drugs. Several patrons tested positive for narcotics during the raid.
For residents and travelers, this incident highlights ongoing local enforcement efforts against nightlife venues that violate licensing and public safety regulations.
