Thai Government Monitors Final Phase of Southern Durian Season

According to Khaosod Online Thailand, the government has successfully facilitated the absorption of 222,515 tons of durian into the market thus far.
Nationwide, Thailand has exported nearly 1.11 million tons of durian, generating a value exceeding 127.22 billion baht. To stabilize the market and prevent future supply gluts, the Ministry of Commerce is implementing a 'provincial fruit calendar' to better link production with advance market demand. Additionally, the government is focusing on improving logistics, promoting fruit processing, and adopting 'Zero Waste' initiatives.
For residents and travelers, these measures aim to maintain price stability and ensure the continued availability of high-quality produce. The initiative highlights the government's commitment to supporting local farmers and streamlining the agricultural supply chain.
