Fatal Shooting Incident Reported in Phatthalung Province

According to a report by Khaosod Online, a violent incident occurred on the Pho Thong-Thale Noi road in Khuan Khanun district, Phatthalung province, during the early hours of August 9, 2026. Police were notified of the shooting at approximately 3:00 a.m.

Upon arrival at the scene, investigators discovered a fallen motorcycle and traces of blood. Reports indicate that two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle approached the victims and opened fire. Three individuals were initially transported to Khuan Khanun Hospital by rescue teams. Tragically, an 18-year-old male, identified in reports by a pseudonym, succumbed to a gunshot wound to the back of his head while en route to the medical facility. The two other individuals accompanying him sustained injuries during the attack.
