On August 8, 2026, families gathered at the Police General Hospital’s Institute of Forensic Medicine to receive the remains of eight individuals killed in a shooting incident at Debsirin Nonthaburi School. According to reports from Khaosod Online, volunteers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation assisted in transporting the coffins to waiting vehicles for transport to their respective hometowns for religious funeral rites.
Among the deceased identified was Mr. Kittipong Somrat, the school's Deputy Director of Student Affairs, whose family plans to hold services in Si Sa Ket province. Another victim identified was Ms. Tiwaporn Wanich, a guidance counselor. The atmosphere at the forensic institute was described as deeply somber, with grieving relatives visibly distraught as they prepared to take their loved ones home.
