On August 8, 2026, the Nonthaburi Provincial Justice Office released details regarding financial assistance for those affected by the recent violent incident at Debsirin Nonthaburi School. According to Khaosod Online, the tragedy resulted in 8 fatalities and 23 injuries. Provincial Justice official Arpakorn Tualamoon confirmed that families of the deceased have already claimed the bodies to conduct religious rites in their respective hometowns.
Under the legal framework for criminal case victim compensation, the office has established specific support tiers. Families of the deceased may apply for compensation up to 300,000 THB, alongside other specified damages. For the 23 injured individuals, the support includes coverage for medical expenses, physical rehabilitation, and mental health recovery. Medical costs are reimbursed based on actual receipts up to 80,000 THB, while rehabilitation support is capped at 50,000 THB, with additional compensation for other damages not exceeding 100,000 THB.
