Thai Pet Products Gain Momentum at Taipei Pet Show 2026
Thailand’s Department of International Trade Promotion reports strong interest in Thai pet products at the Taipei Pet Show, reinforcing the country's position as Taiwan's top pet food supplier.
According to a report from Khaosod Online Thailand, the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) successfully facilitated the participation of 20 Thai entrepreneurs at the Taipei Pet Show 2026. During the event, 30 Taiwanese importers and distributors engaged in 128 business matching sessions, highlighting a significant demand for Thai pet products, particularly those designed for cats.
Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, Director-General of the DITP, noted that Thailand currently maintains its status as the leading source of pet food imports for Taiwan. Data indicates that export values reached $104.3 million in 2025, representing a 172% growth over the past decade. This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Commerce's broader strategy to expand the global reach of Thai goods and services.
For residents and travelers, this growth underscores the increasing international recognition of Thai manufacturing standards in the pet care sector. While the event demonstrated strong commercial interest, the long-term impact on retail availability and specific product pricing within the Taiwanese market remains to be confirmed.
