Norwegian National Found Homeless in Nonthaburi to be Repatriated

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, local authorities have intervened to assist Mr. Odd Stian Hesseberg, a 44-year-old Norwegian national found wandering and scavenging for food in the Bang Talat sub-district of Pak Kret, Nonthaburi. Mr. Hesseberg had been sleeping in temple pavilions prior to receiving assistance from local residents and temple officials, whom he reportedly thanked for their support.

Official records indicate that Mr. Hesseberg entered Thailand on March 3, 2023, on a 30-day tourist visa. His authorized stay was extended until May 16, 2023, following an application at the Nakhon Sawan Immigration Office in April 2023. He has remained in the country for over three years since his initial arrival.
