National Housing Authority Launches Affordable Rental Project in Chonburi

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand on August 7, 2026, the National Housing Authority (NHA) is expanding its residential footprint in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) with a new project offering rental units at 2,000 baht per month. NHA Governor Taweepong Wichaidit stated that the initiative aims to provide affordable housing options for workers in areas experiencing industrial and employment growth.

Currently, the NHA manages 46 housing projects in Chonburi, totaling 25,633 units. This portfolio includes 43 projects for sale and three dedicated to rentals, strategically located near major industrial estates and transport hubs such as Laem Chabang and Map Ta Phut. The new development of 544 units is designed to alleviate living and commuting costs for the local workforce, supporting the ongoing urban expansion within the EEC.
