GULF Reports Record-Breaking Q2 Profit Amid Energy and Digital Expansion

Gulf Energy Development PCL has announced its highest-ever quarterly core profit of 12.33 billion baht for Q2 2026, driven by increased power sales and digital investments.

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, Gulf Energy Development PCL (GULF) achieved a record-breaking core profit of 12.33 billion baht in the second quarter of 2026, marking a 74% increase compared to the same period last year. The company’s total revenue reached 50.29 billion baht, representing a 24% year-on-year growth.

Chief Financial Officer Yupapin Wangviwat attributed this performance to robust operations in the natural gas power sector. Specifically, the Gulf Sriracha (GSRC) and Gulf Pluak Daeng (GPD) power plants saw higher electricity sales to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), meeting rising national demand. Beyond traditional energy, the company continues to expand its footprint in the digital sector, with ongoing investments in data centers and artificial intelligence.

For residents and travelers in Thailand, this growth highlights the strengthening of the country’s energy infrastructure, which supports the stability of the national power grid. While the company’s financial trajectory appears strong, the long-term impact of its aggressive expansion into AI and data center infrastructure remains to be seen as these projects reach full operational capacity. Investors and observers should note that these figures reflect past performance and do not guarantee future market outcomes.
