Fatal Shooting Follows Explosion at Trang Cockfighting Arena

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, a 23-year-old man identified as Sastrawut was found dead in a rubber plantation in Na Bin La, Trang, on August 6, 2026. Police were notified of the incident at approximately 3:30 a.m.

Authorities report that the victim had allegedly thrown an explosive device at a local cockfighting arena earlier. Following this act, a caretaker of the arena reportedly pursued the man, leading to a fatal shooting in the nearby rubber plantation. The caretaker has since surrendered to the police, turning over a firearm as part of the investigation. At the scene, investigators discovered a .357 Smith & Wesson revolver near the victim’s right hand, which contained three spent casings and three live rounds.
