BCPG Reports Significant Profit Growth for First Half of 2026
Thai energy firm BCPG announced a 146% increase in net profit for the first half of 2026, driven by expanded power generation and operational efficiency.
According to a report from Khaosod Online, BCPG Public Company Limited has announced a strong financial performance for the first half of 2026. The company recorded a net profit from normal operations of 810.6 million baht, marking a 146.3% increase compared to the previous year.
CEO Ravi Boonsinsuk attributed this growth to the successful commercial operation of new projects and effective financial cost management. In the second quarter of 2026 alone, the company generated 806.7 million baht in total revenue, a 3.4% year-on-year increase. This growth was supported by improved performance at hydroelectric plants in Laos, higher solar power sales in Thailand, and the addition of 19.6 megawatts of solar rooftop capacity. Furthermore, the company benefited from increased capacity payments from its natural gas power plants in the United States.
For residents and travelers, this news highlights the ongoing expansion of renewable energy infrastructure in the region. While the company’s financial health appears robust, the long-term impact of these international investments and the stability of energy costs remain subject to market fluctuations. Investors and stakeholders should monitor future quarterly reports to see if this growth trajectory continues throughout the remainder of the year.
