Bo Sang Umbrella Festival 2027
A three-day celebration of traditional Lanna umbrella craftsmanship in Bo Sang village, featuring parades, craft demonstrations, and cultural performances.
The Bo Sang Umbrella Festival celebrates the historic craft of handmade mulberry-bark (saa) paper umbrellas. Held annually in the village of Bo Sang, San Kamphaeng district, the event features streets decorated with hundreds of umbrellas, live Lanna music, traditional dance, and craft demonstrations including wood-carving and lacquerware. Highlights include an opening parade with traditional Lanna dress and the Miss Bo Sang Umbrella contest. The festival is free to attend.
